Led by internationally known mediator and facilitator, Dr. Marcelle DuPraw, Collaborative Choices enables individuals and organizations to get good things done collaboratively. Collaborative Choices offers a full range of services to support collaborative problem solving for environmental, natural resource management, and cross-cultural challenges. We work on a broad range of resource management issues, from forest restoration to groundwater management to cultural resource protection.
DR. MARCELLE E. ("MARCI") DUPRAW
Marcelle DuPraw, PhD is a facilitator and mediator specializing in cross-cultural environmental challenges, landscape-scale collaboration, and collaborative capacity-building. She has worked with many federal agencies, Tribes, states, NGOs, and corporations, as well as overseas in Russia, China, Estonia, Cyprus, and Denmark. Dr. DuPraw has played leadership roles in the Native Network, the Environment and Public Policy Sector of the Association for Conflict Resolution, and the University Network for Collaborative Governance. She is a recipient of the Sharon M. Pickett award for achievements in environmental protection through alternative dispute resolution. Dr. DuPraw holds a PhD in Conflict Analysis and Resolution with a concentration in culture and ethnicity, as well as a Graduate Certificate in Qualitative Research Methods, from Nova Southeastern University. Her Master’s degree is in Natural Resource Policy, Economics, and Management from the University of Michigan. She earned her Bachelor’s in Environmental Studies, with a focus on biology and natural history, from the University of California, Santa Cruz. Dr. DuPraw has published numerous articles related to her collaborative problem-solving work, including how-to guides for stakeholders, reflective pieces for practitioners, and scholarly articles for academics.
